How it works
A server you host, a console in the browser, an agent on every device
CShark MDM has three parts. Devices only ever talk to your server, and you manage everything from the console.
The CShark MDM server
Runs in your infrastructure, stores devices, policies and history, and hosts the console.
The web console
Where admins and operators enroll devices, set policies and act on devices, from any browser.
The device agents
An Android app that manages the device as its owner, and a Windows service on each PC.
From token to managed device
- 1
Create an enrollment token
A token belongs to one platform and can carry a policy and groups, an expiry and a use limit. Restrict it to pre-registered serial numbers if you like.
- Print a QR sheet for Android
- Download a deployment script for Windows
- Import expected devices from a CSV
- 2
Enroll the devices
Android devices scan the QR code during setup, or enroll through zero-touch or Knox Mobile Enrollment. Windows PCs run the deployment script, by hand or through Group Policy, Intune or SCCM.
- Each device exchanges the token for its own credential
- Pre-registered devices get their name, policy and groups
- 3
Devices check in
Agents check in about once a minute with inventory and the state of their policy. The server answers with the current policy and any commands waiting for them.
- Policies re-apply whenever they change
- Compliance and security risk update automatically
- 4
Support and act
From the console, open a remote session, install apps, reset a passcode, locate a device, or lock, reboot and wipe, for one device or a whole group.
- Every action is logged on the device’s timeline
- Group jobs show live progress and can reach new members
